Introducing the Portal Front Door & Kitchen Rug, made from 100% recycled plastic bottles (PET) and hand woven by skilled artisans in our favorite family-run factory in India. 

All of the Portal details were carefully considered with busy lives in mind:

-The rug height (5/8″) fits perfectly under a swinging door AND they are the exact width you’ll want for your front door (34 1/2″)

-Super comfy under bare feet- even after spending what feels like hours washing dishes during the holidays. 

-Each rug has a thin layer of latex applied to the back to keep it in place when you vacuum and use at entrances to your home. 

-You can get this rug wet which means it’s also GREAT in the bathroom. 

Lisa and Michael started the studio because bath mats and shower curtains were things you needed and rarely loved. Canvas curtains are still sewn in Brooklyn. Color stories now pick up California light, too.

We only make daily objects: curtains, towels, rugs, hampers, organizers. Partners are chosen for accountability, kindness, and materials we can stand next to.
